Recycled polymers are our core business
rPET, rPE, rPP and rPVC from audited European recyclers — as regrind, flakes and regranulate, PCR and PIR. Not a side line, not a pledge: the material we trade every day.
Why recycled content is now a purchasing decision
For years, buying recyclate was a cost play. That has changed. The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation sets mandatory minimum recycled-content levels for plastic packaging, phasing in over the coming years and tightening after that. Several countries have introduced plastic packaging taxes that charge per tonne of non-recycled plastic. And most large brands have made public recycled-content commitments that flow straight down the supply chain into their converters' specifications.
The practical result: if you convert plastic for packaging, your customers will ask for recycled content with documentation behind it — if they haven't already. The converters who secure reliable, certified recyclate streams early will win that business. The ones who wait will be buying in a tighter market.
That is the service we sell. We source recycled polymer from audited European recyclers, put a datasheet in front of you with every offer, and back each lot with samples and certificates of analysis on request. Quote within 24 hours on working days; full truck loads of approx. 22–24 t in big bags, octabins or 25 kg bags; EXW, FCA or DAP.
| Stream | Forms we trade | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| rPET | Hot-washed flakes, pellets (incl. food grade) | Bottles, trays, sheet, strapping, fibre |
| rPE | Regrind, regranulate (rHDPE, rLDPE) | Pipe, film, bottles, crates |
| rPP | Regrind, regranulate | Injection moulding, compounds, automotive |
| rPVC | Regrind, micronised, compounds | Profiles, pipe, flooring |
Both sides of the market
We buy as well as sell. If your plant generates production scrap, regrind or off-spec lots, tell us what you have — turning your waste stream into revenue is part of the same circle.
Recyclate, decoded
Recycled polymer specifications use terms that get mixed up even inside the industry. Here is what they mean — and why the difference matters when you buy.
PCR vs PIR
Post-consumer recyclate (PCR) comes from plastic that did its job and was collected: bottles from deposit systems, films and packaging from household or commercial waste. Post-industrial recyclate (PIR) is production scrap — edge trim, sprues, start-up lumps — that never left a factory. PIR is typically cleaner and more consistent. But most regulatory targets and brand pledges specify PCR, so check which one your customer's claim requires before you commit.
Regrind vs flakes vs regranulate
Regrind is mechanically shredded plastic, usually unwashed — the cheapest form, for processes that tolerate variation. Flakes are sorted and washed (hot-washed for rPET), a step up in purity, and many sheet and strapping lines run them directly. Regranulate has been melt-filtered and repelletised: uniform melt behaviour, easy dosing, the closest handling to virgin. Each step adds cost and removes risk — pick the point on that curve your process needs.
Food-grade recycling
Ordinary mechanical recyclate is not permitted in food-contact applications. Food-grade rPET goes through an approved decontamination process (often called super-clean recycling) that removes migrated substances, and the recycler must hold the corresponding EU authorisation for that process. Documentation travels with the material. If your end use touches food, say so in your enquiry — it is a different stream at a different price, and substituting standard recyclate is not an option.
Reading a recyclate datasheet
The same numbers matter as for virgin — MFI for PE and PP, IV for PET — plus a few recyclate-specific ones: moisture, bulk density, filtration fineness, ash content and colour values. The key question is not the typical value but the range: lot-to-lot consistency is what separates a usable recyclate stream from a headache. Every offer we make includes the datasheet, and samples let your lab confirm it before the truck loads.
Recyclate you can put your name behind
A recycled-content claim is only as strong as its paper trail. We supply material from audited European recyclers; certificates from schemes such as GRS, EuCertPlast and RecyClass are available from our partners, so the lot in your silo connects back to a verified source. And because a good trial lot means nothing if lot ten drifts, we work with recyclers who hold their spec — and we tell you when a stream won't suit your process.
- Audited European recyclers only — no anonymous streams
- Partner certificates from schemes such as GRS, EuCertPlast, RecyClass
- Consistent lot-to-lot quality, with certificates of analysis on request
- Guidance on recycled/virgin blend ratios for your application
Recycled polymers — common questions
What is the difference between PCR and PIR?
PCR (post-consumer recyclate) is made from plastic that reached the end user — collected bottles, films and packaging. PIR (post-industrial recyclate) comes from production scrap such as edge trim, sprues and start-up lumps that never left the factory. PIR is usually cleaner and more consistent; PCR is what most regulatory recycled-content targets and brand commitments actually require. Always check which one your customer's target accepts before you buy.
Is recycled material always cheaper than virgin?
No, and anyone who promises otherwise is not being straight with you. Standard rPE, rPP and rPVC streams usually price below virgin. But high-spec streams — food-grade rPET above all — can trade at or above virgin when demand from recycled-content targets outstrips supply. Recyclate prices track bale availability, energy costs and the virgin market. Buy recycled for compliance, marketing claims and supply diversification first; treat any discount as a bonus.
How do I prove recycled content to my customers?
Through chain of custody. We supply material from audited European recyclers; certificates from schemes such as GRS and EuCertPlast are available from our partners. Combined with delivery documents and certificates of analysis that tie each lot to its source, this gives you the paper trail auditors and brand customers ask for. Tell us at enquiry stage which scheme your customer requires and we'll source accordingly.
Can you help me choose a blend ratio of recycled to virgin?
Yes. The right ratio depends on your process window, the property you can't compromise on (impact, top load, optics, IV) and the consistency of the recyclate stream. A common approach is to start at a conservative ratio, run a trial with a sample lot, check MFI or IV shift and mechanical results, then step up. We provide datasheets with every offer and samples on request, so your trials are based on the actual material — not a typical value.
