PET & Recycled PET (rPET) — Resins, Flakes & Pellets

From virgin bottle-grade resin to food-grade recycled pellets, we supply the PET stream that fits your process — with datasheets up front and samples before you commit.

What we supply

Virgin PET — polyethylene terephthalate resin for the full range of packaging applications. We quote bottle grades with intrinsic viscosity (IV) typically between 0.76 and 0.84: lower IV for still water and thin-wall preforms, higher IV for carbonated soft drinks where pressure resistance matters. For thermoforming we supply APET sheet and film grades, and fibre grades for spinning applications.

Recycled PET (rPET) — sourced from audited European recyclers working from post-consumer bottle streams:

  • Hot-washed rPET flakes — clear or light blue, for sheet extrusion, strapping and fibre lines that process flake directly.
  • Food-grade rPET pellets — decontaminated and repelletised for bottle-to-bottle and food-contact tray applications, with supporting documentation.
  • Sheet and strapping grade rPET pellets — a cost-effective option where food contact is not required.

Every offer comes with the technical datasheet. Certificates of analysis and pre-shipment samples are available on request, so your lab can approve the material before the first truck leaves.

Recycled content, verified

Meet your recycled-content targets with confidence

EU packaging rules are pushing brands towards mandatory recycled content in PET bottles. We supply rPET from audited European recyclers — with certificates from schemes such as GRS and EuCertPlast available from our partners — so your recycled content claim stands up to scrutiny.

  • Post-consumer bottle streams, hot-washed and sorted
  • Food-grade decontamination with documentation
  • Consistent colour and IV from lot to lot

FAQ

PET & rPET — common questions

What IV should I choose for PET bottles?

For still water bottles, IV around 0.76–0.80 is common; for carbonated soft drinks, IV 0.80–0.84 gives the extra strength the pressure requires. Tell us your application and preform design and we'll match the grade.

Is your rPET suitable for food contact?

We can supply food-grade rPET pellets produced by European recyclers using approved decontamination processes, with the supporting documentation. Always confirm the food-contact requirement in your enquiry so we quote the correct stream.

What is the minimum order quantity?

We typically trade full truck loads of about 22–24 tonnes, but smaller lots are possible for some materials. Contact us with your requirement and we'll tell you what's feasible.

Can I get a sample and datasheet before ordering?

Yes. Every offer includes the technical datasheet, and samples and certificates of analysis are available on request before you commit to a full load.

Flakes or pellets — which rPET form do I need?

If your line has crystallising/drying equipment designed for flake (many sheet and strapping lines do), hot-washed flakes are usually the most economical. If you need guaranteed melt behaviour or food contact, repelletised rPET is the safer choice. We're happy to talk through your setup.
